There have been lots of thoughts on the Zelda timeline. Here are my thoughts.

1. Ocarina of Time - I think even Shigeru Miyamoto himself said this is the first, plus there's talk of the Imprisoning War. You also find out that Link is a Hylian.

2. Majora's Mask - It's obvious about this one. I mean it was right after OoT. The only thing I don't get is that Link gets to ride Epona as a kid, when you couldn't do that in OoT.

3. Oracles of Ages and Seasons - I would think this because Link went out back out into the woods.He was clearing from the forest when he got sucked into Holodrum or Labryna. Link still has a horse in the intro in which I think it could be Epona. Plus, Link still looks like a kid, has the triforce on his left hand, and it seems that Link grew a little. The Zora race still lives.

4. The Wind Waker - Take places 100 years after OoT. Miyamoto himself said it. There was a great flood and the Deku Tree's sprout sprouted.

5. Links Awakening - I would say this happens after WW because Link was sailing to some other place. My friend said Eastern Hyrule, but I don't know about that because he told me that a long time ago. Since Link was sailing, this made me think it was after WW because we haven't seen Link sailing out on the ocean in any other game besides Wind Waker, have we?

6. Adventure of Link - I think this game is next because look at the over world. It's still pretty spread out. Plus, I think this is the same Link from LA because they both are adults. Also, about what my friend said about in LA Link was sailing to eastern Hyrule. This could have been true. I mean the Hyrule isn't even fully connected. 7. Legend of Zelda (first game) - I think that Hyrule has come together from what we saw in AoL. In this game I think we get a new Link. I don't have anything else to support LoZ because I haven't played the whole game.

8. Link to the Past - Ah, the game I once hated but now love. Yes, I think this game goes last and happens after LoZ. I mean compare the overworld. Compare the geographical features. I also think this game goes last because at the end of the game, when you see Link return the Master Sword, a message appears saying: And The Master Sword sleeps again… FOREVER!
