Link starts his game with three full hearts. There is 12 heart pieces throughout the game, which equals three extra hearts. There is also full hearts for each boss.

-6- - In the shop in Subrosia, buy the heart piece when it’s available for 20 ore chunks and 10 ember seeds.
-7- - Change the season to summer in eyeglass lake (the stump after you jump over the hole) and head right once. Now head down twice and go down the stairs and head one more screen up. Pick up the rock and go downstairs. Now just follow the path, while fighting of the mosters and collect you piece from the chest.
-8- - From Dancing Dragon Dungeon, just jump down and collect the piece of heart.
-9- - This is for the Great Moblin’s keep piece of heart. There are two ways to do this. This is the first way. I’ll try to explain this the best I can. You will need the cape. Go to the North Horon tree. It’s a scent seed tree. Then go down one screen, left once, up once, and go up through the log. Now go left and call Moosh. Go back right twice. Now jump over all the holes to go right once more. Go down once by jumping over all the holes and take the left-most down way again. Go right and get of your animal. Now is the harder part. Use your cape to jump and slash one of the bushes so you can go right. Swim over and go up the stairs. Go into the building and meet with the great moblin. Throw his bombs back at him until he turns to ash every time you hit him. Now just throw a bomb so that he drops one behind him. When you defeat him wait until the scene is over and collect the heart piece. Here is the second way. You know where you met Moosh on Mount Cucco? Go there and go left. Keep going left and do not stop until you reach the gorons. Now once you go inside goron city, go right and go down the stairs. Now swim down through the water until you reach the end. Go out of the cave and go left one screen and down the stairs into the water. While in the water, go right twice and get out of the water. Now go down three times, but on the third time going down, take the right side. Now go right and up the stairs into the great moblin’s place. Throw his bombs back at him until he turns to ash every time you hit him. Now just throw a bomb so that he drops one behind him. When you defeat him wait until the scene is over and collect the heart piece.
-10- - Go to Spool swamp (where you lowered the water) and go one screen below the Poison Moth’s Lair. Change the season to spring and go right. Go down three times, but on the third time just take the right hand way. Go to the right once and down once more. Use the current and go left. It’s not hard to collect the heart piece.
-11- - At the Graveyard (after you saved the pirates) change the season to fall. Now go out through the house and follow the path you took when you were going to the dungeon. There is a cave along the way. Go in and use your cape to jump across the gap. Go out of there so you are now in the graveyard. Go up and left until you see the mushrooms. Pick them up and grab your heart piece.
-12- - IN the Temple remains (where you erupted the volcanoe) go right from the start. Now go up one screen and one screen left from the top. Jump over the lava and blow up the wall where it is cracked. Go inside the cave. Go to the left and jump to the next platform. Instead of taking the way all the way around, just use your cape to make it to the heart.
